Meridian's Community Funds are a way for us to invest in initiatives that are of value to communities close to our generation assets. We recognise the unique contribution these communities make to our hydro and wind operations and to New Zealand's electricity sector. In the 2006/07 financial year we distributed a total of $464,035 to organisations in the Te Apiti, Waitaki and Manapouri /Te Anau communities, making a positive difference for the people who live there.
