North Haven Hospice cares for terminally ill people in the Northland area. It plays an essential role in the Northland community by providing comfort, respect and dignity to people in their final days. Meridian is proud to have been the principal sponsor of the Hospice since 1999.

This year we were pleased to be able to use our expertise in energy efficiency to help the Hospice reduce its running costs. By conducting an energy audit and following up with measures to address the issues we identified, such as adding extra ceiling insulation, draught-proofing and developing an Energy Action Plan for the Hospice, we helped save money which can now be much better spent on providing care to patients who need it.

Meridian also sponsors the Hospice’s main fund-raising event, their annual Gala – a highlight of the Whangarei social calendar.
